Incident ReportingOn an icy cold winter morning a client’s employee had a serious accident.

The “Accident Report” indicated that the employee had arrived at work by car and having parked, slipped on some ice. This resulted in a “Neck & Head” injury.

The employee reported severe pain resulting from the fall and later reported “blurred vision”.

The Manager took him to hospital, treatment was ongoing, with a possible surgery on spine and neck.

The Company were informed that this accident could result in a substantial insurance claim!

Because of H & S Services’ Incident Response investigation, it was discovered that the employee had parked on the public road, not in the Company car park, not even on the Industrial estate where the company premises is located, and the fall had occurred on the public pathway.

Had this matter not been promptly investigated these important details may have been missed…….
